Cloud High Cabin Retreat
Miles was connected to me by a dear friend. The vision had multiple paths forward - get a compound with friends (a goth haven in the woods) or find a place solo (lumberjack vibes).
Either way, the goal was clear: find a retreat away from the racing heartbeat of central Los Angeles.
We began the hunt- Mt. Baldy, Crestline, Lake Arrowhead. Like Goldilocks and the porridge, each casa was not quite right. One was weathered while another was too new. One was heavily weighted (physically and literally) by deep-stained wood and a mounted moose head while another felt whimsical including its gentle slope down the hillside.
Then we found it.
A powder blue cabin surrounded by a grove of tall trees and protruding from the snowbank. Inside honey-colored wood walls coated you in warmth. The handcrafted kitchen cabinetry, custom octagonal window, and hidden cupboard beneath the stairwell made us swoon.
The edge of the lot borders the forest and looks out to the earth 5000 feet below and beyond to the ocean on a clear day.
If this ain't housewishery baby, idk what is.
